The coffee is from Starbucks and prepared to be shared, so please feel free to partake. As you pour yourself a cup and grab a snack you will be greeted by someone with a smile, don’t be afraid because this happens all the time at Revolution. If you have any children, this person can help you find your way to where your child should go. You will have the opportunity to meet and speak to the leaders in your child’s area. As you walk into the main area where we gather for worship, you begin to notice the music, the video screens and candles. All of these, as well as some other elements have been prepared in order to set the mood of what will follow. We want to be a place that causes you to use all of your senses. We want you feel the freedom to engage in a way that is comfortable to you. Feel free to sit or stand and participate as much as you want. Everything we do in our gatherings is with the thinking that the Bible is the center of it. It explains how he interacts with his creation and we want to see that story unfold before us, allowing us to discover our place in it. We also want the Bible to be an active part of our community. You are likely to see the band and speaker dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, perhaps even wearing shorts when it’s hot. You will hear a large selection of music that you are familiar with, music you know because it sounds like what you would listen to in your car. Every week, we take communion together as a community. This is an opportunity to those who follow Christ to pause and look back over the week. We take a some time to remember what Jesus did for us, as well as look forward to the hope that we have as followers of Jesus. Communion is open to all who feel comfortable taking it and is a highlight of our gathering. When we’re done, feel free to stay and talk with people as long as you like.
