Church name: Revolution Church
From the church pastor: "A foundational belief at Revolution is that church should be one of the most creative and innovative places on the planet, yet many of us can remember times when we went to church and were bored beyond acceptable limits. Each week at Revolution is different even though we use a lot of the same elements. We realize that attending a church for the first time can be very stressful, after all every one of us has been the new person at some point. tour goal is to alleviate those feelings before you show up, let me expand just a little. When you arrive and approach the entrance, you will see an area with people standing around. There will be people standing around tables, and one of these tables will have coffee and some other light snacks. The coffee is from Starbucks and prepared to be shared, so please feel free to partake. As you pour yourself a cup and grab a snack you will be greeted by someone with a smile, don’t be afraid because this happens all the time at Revolution. If you have any children, this person can help you find your way to where your child should go. You will have the opportunity to meet and speak to the leaders in your child’s area. As you walk into the main area where we gather for worship, you begin to notice the music, the video screens and candles. All of these, as well as some other elements have been prepared in order to set the mood of what will follow. We want to be a place that causes you to use all of your senses. We want you feel the freedom to engage in a way that is comfortable to you. Feel free to sit or stand and participate as much as you want. It might turn out that all you want is to just watch, whatever your comfort level you should find it here. We strive to be a church. When you drove in, you drove past a sign that said church, it is intened to remove any doubt for you about where you are. Everything we do in our gatherings is with the thinking that the Bible is the center of it. Our messages are typically complete books of the Bible because we believe that the Bible is the story of God, His love and His plan for us. It explains how he interacts with his creation and we want to see that story unfold before us, allowing us to discover our place in it. We also want the Bible to be an active part of our community. Instead of us picking the topics we preach on, we allow the Bible to come up with them as we move through it. For more information on our current series, click here. To see a list of our messages from a past series, click here. We feel it is very important that Revolution be a church where you feel comfortable coming as you are. You are likely to see the band and speaker dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, perhaps even wearing shorts when it’s hot. You will hear a large selection of music that you are familiar with, music you know because it sounds like what you would listen to in your car. Every week, we take communion together as a community. This is an opportunity to those who follow Christ to pause and look back over the week. We take a some time to remember what Jesus did for us, as well as look forward to the hope that we have as followers of Jesus. Communion is open to all who feel comfortable taking it and is a highlight of our gathering. When we’re done, feel free to stay and talk with people as long as you like. If you brought children with you, don’t forget to pick them up from their classroom because leaving them behind is never good. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday night!
