From the church pastor: "WANTED: Bible-believing Christians and families to consider prayerfully joining with us in this new church endeavor!
Grace Bible Church (GBC) is a NEW CHURCH PLANTING EFFORT in VENTURA COUNTY (Oxnard Area and Channel Islands area). We are an independent church where all are welcome. The members of GBC desire to plant a strong, independent Bible-believing church in this area to meet the growing spiritual needs of the surrounding community.
We invite you to "check us out" and consider becoming a part of GBC. We are looking for families and individuals that God would lead to join with us in establishing a Bible church in this area.
You may be looking for a church for many different reasons. Maybe you have just moved into the area and are searching for a new church home. Perhaps you have come to check out this "business" of Christianity and are wondering if the Bible really holds any answers for the problems of today. Whatever the reasons, GBC hopes that this information will be informative and that you will be able to discover a place that meets your deepest spiritual needs.
GBC Services and ministry events:
Although the roots of the church go back many years, GBC is a new church with a very young ministry!
As we grow numerically and finances permit, more programs are planned, especially for YOUNG FAMILES and CHILDREN.
9:30—Bible study for all ages. This program offers a variety of Bible study classes focusing on in-depth analysis of various books and subjects of the Bible and related issues.
10:30—Morning Worship Celebration. This service is a combination of tradition and non-traditional worship styles. It is a "come as you are" event (no ties or formal dress needed). It offers worship teams, contemporary and traditional music, singing and expository preaching/teaching on various books of the Bible.
Children's church—around 11:05 children are dismissed for their own special time together.
Sunday 3:00 – 5:00 AWANA Program. This is an exciting program for kids. AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." It is a children's program for ages 3 and up and is based somewhat on the boy- and girl-scout models. AWANA involves great activities, Scripture memorization and fun! Enroll your children now.
Wednesdays 6:00 CHOIR rehearsal (singers and "want to be" singers welcome).
Wednesdays 6:00 Children's Program offering a fun dinner, games, and Bible learning.
Wednesdays 7:00 Mid-week Bible study in an informal setting with Pastor Dave.
7:00 p.m. Fridays (every third Friday of each month). FRIDAY is FAMILY NIGHT at GBC. Just bring the kids and yourselves and enjoy a BIG-SCREEN movie, play your favorite board game, or just have some popcorn, refreshments and fun fellowship.
