Main Service description: Our service begins at 10 a.m. with a musical meditation leading into Rev. David Hammett's welcome, announcements, and call to worship. Sunday service always includes prayer for those in need, communion for all, Rev. Dave's message to our children, and his meaningful sermon for everyone. This structure is interspersed with music from our choir and our congregation. Our participation in the service is aided by the projection of the words to hymns, verbal prayer responses, and readings--as well as pictures which illustrate points being made. It is an inspirational service that provides us all with the feeling of being in the "arms of our God."

There are many types of ministries that United Church of Christ churches can offer. Because of limited resources, most United Church of Christ churches have to be selective about which ministries they decide to provide to their congregations.

A service that is almost never seen in smaller United Church of Christ churches is the Singles' ministry. For many churches, single people above age eighteen are automatically included in the main congregation, but United Church of Christ churches that have larger college crowds and also have a ministry focused on Singles' have a lot of appeal. Normally, it is the larger United Church of Christ churches that have the staff required to create such a specialized ministry.
