Here is a little about the vision of Generation Church: Psalm 24:6 - "A Generation that seeks Him!" Thanks for you interest in our new church plant. We are so excited about Generation Church! Our background: My wife and I both studied at World Changers Bible Inst. in Nashville, Tn as well as Virginia Commonwealth Univ. in Richmond, Va. We have been youth pastors for the past 5 years at Faith Landmarks Ministries, a large non-denominational church in Richmond. We both have volunteered and worked on staff in ministry prior to our marriage 6 years ago. We have been trained in very active local, regional and international ministries and have brought the same culture to Generation Church. Our vision is simple. Eph 4:12.... 1. Train and equip the saints and 2. Provide the saints viable avenues to minister. We are not interested in building a kingdom of buildings and sanctuaries to afford us the ability to say that we have a large ministry. We are about building the saints and then working beside the saints to build the Kingdom of God. We have a huge heart for soul winning and we believe that the least effective place to do that is in the 4 walls of a church, so we actively go outside of those 4 walls. We have seen great success in ministering to the lost thru crusade style concerts, food giveaways, clothing giveaways, natural disaster outreaches, housing redevelopment projects, single parent ministries, prison ministries and the list goes on and on. We use these opportunities to minister to the natural man for one purpose only.... to have the opportunity to minister to people on a spiritual level. Unfortunately, we feel that the church at large in many ways has lost relevance with the people of the World and so we desire to bring that relevance back with a sharp, cutting edge style ministry that hangs dearly to our roots and the principles of God.
