There is an array of ministries that Lutheran churches can provide to their congregations. Because of limited resources, most Lutheran churches have to be selective about which ministries they decide to provide to their congregations.

A service that is almost never seen in smaller Lutheran churches is the Singles' ministry. For many churches, single people above age eighteen are automatically included in the main congregation, but Lutheran churches that have larger college crowds and also have a ministry focused on Singles' have a lot of appeal. Normally, it is the larger Lutheran churches that have the staff required to create such a specialized ministry.
